Police Log: December 9 to 15, 2025

In the past week, police made 37 motor vehicle stops, seven resulting in verbal warnings and 30 written warnings or citations. Officers also checked on three disabled vehicles, made five well-being checks, and responded to one false burglar alarm.

Tuesday, Dec. 9
Nothing significant to report.

Wednesday, Dec. 10
At 10:34 a.m. a Glenview Drive resident called, saying an unleashed dog was in her yard, trying to attack her dog; she asked that the animal control officer be informed. At 12:14 p.m. a 22-year-old Harvard man received a summons for driving without a license. At 5:32 p.m. state police requested that a Harvard officer check on a two-car crash on Interstate 495 southbound; an officer located the crash and filed a report.

Thursday, Dec. 11
At 1:50 a.m. police saw that the roads were becoming icy and called on the Department of Public Works to treat them. At 8:45 a.m. a car that had been involved in a crash on Route 2 pulled into the Dunkin’ parking lot; one person was injured. At 9:58 a.m. a 36-year-old Harvard woman received a summons for driving without a license. At 12:21 p.m. a caller reported a tree was leaning on the wires along East Bare Hill Road, and National Grid was notified. At 4:49 p.m. someone called 911, saying they had hit a deer on Still River Road.

Friday, Dec. 12
At 9:41 a.m. a 32-year-old Ayer woman received a summons for driving without a license. At 5:47 p.m. an officer assisted a Pinnacle Road resident with having a car towed.

Saturday, Dec. 13
At 12:31 a.m. an officer checked on a car parked in an unusual location on Still River Road; the owners were putting up Christmas decorations. At 11:22 a.m. someone came to the station asking for help in finding his hat, which had blown off into the woods; an officer helped him locate it. At 2:53 p.m. a 911 caller said a car was speeding and crossing over double yellow lines near town center on Still River Road; police did not locate the car. At 3:13 p.m. a caller again reported the tree leaning on wires along East Bare Hill Road. National Grid had been notified of it on Thursday and said there was no major hazard.

Sunday, Dec. 14
At 4:56 a.m. police notified the DPW to treat the roads, which were becoming slick. A few hours later, the bad weather led to a spate of car crashes and requests for well-being checks. At 9:25 a.m. a 911 caller reported a car had struck a tree on Woodchuck Hill Road; the car required a tow, and an officer took the driver home. At 9:44 a.m. another 911 caller told police a car had gone off the road and into the woods along Oak Hill Road. That car too needed a tow. At 10:05 a.m. the DPW said a car had hit a utility pole on Littleton Road. However, it turned out the car was simply parked there, and the occupants were hunting nearby. At 10:33 a.m. there was a car crash on Route 2 eastbound; state police had jurisdiction. At 10:35 a.m. a Littleton Road resident complained someone was riding a dirt bike on their property; the rider was gone when police arrived. At 1:38 p.m. a 911 caller told police there was a wild bird carcass on Still River Road, and the DPW was asked to remove it. At 6:54 p.m. there was another car crash, this time on Warren Avenue. Again the car had to be towed.

Monday, Dec. 15
At 10:43 a.m. police notified the DPW about an icy area on the roads near the intersection of Still River and Prospect Hill roads.
