The Ambulance Service responded to 11 calls and transported five people to the hospital, three with Advanced Life Support services on board. The ambulance responded to two motor vehicle crashes and provided two lift assists.
Wednesday, Nov. 13: At 10:07 p.m. Engine 2 and the ambulance responded to the crash on Stow Road; one person refused ambulance transport.
Saturday, Nov. 16: At 9:37 a.m. the tanker went to Rocky Pond Road in Boylston to assist in fighting a large brush fire; Harvard firefighters stayed there until about 4:30 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 17: At 2:30 p.m. Engine 2 was involved in a training exercise near Pond Road when the crew was flagged down to help with an alarm going off at the Harvard Public Library; the firefighters cleaned and reset the detector. At 3:53 p.m. a
911 caller reported the smell of smoke along Prospect Hill Road; firefighters traced the smoke to a woodstove and determined there was no danger.
Monday, Nov. 18: At 1:30 p.m. Harvard firefighters were called to Sampson Road in Bolton, where a vehicle fire had spread and become a brush fire. The tanker provided water to fight the fire, while Engine 4’s crew provided coverage at the Bolton fire station.
