Bruce Peter Reusch, 72, of Clinton, died peacefully at home on Jan. 5, 2026, surrounded by family.
Bruce was born and raised on Long Island, New York, and moved to Harvard at the age of 12. He earned a bachelor’s degree in marine biology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. An accomplished carpenter and home builder, Bruce was also an avid sailor. He enjoyed reading, listening to music, and spending cherished time with family and friends at the family camp in Sedgwick, Maine, and at the lake house on Triggs Island in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.
Bruce’s humor, warmth, and unmistakable presence drew people to him, and his kindness and loving presence will live on in the many family members and friends whose lives he touched.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Reba Tyler (Cole) Reusch; his son, William Tyler Reusch, and his wife, Nicole Hays, of Worcester; his brother, William Reusch III, and his wife, Nancy, of Warren; his sister, Wendy Ross, and her companion, Robert Seifert, of Wolfeboro, New Hampshire; his brother, James Reusch, and his wife, Donna, of Piermont, New Hampshire; and his brother, David Reusch, and his wife, Shanna, of Laconia, New Hampshire, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Christopher, and his brother, Mark.
In accordance with his wishes, Bruce’s remains were donated to UMass Medical School to support medical research and education. Following the completion of medical studies, his remains will be laid to rest alongside his son, Christopher, and his father, William, at the Reusch family burial plot in Reservoir Pines Cemetery in Clinton.
Bruce requested that any donations made in his memory be directed to the Christopher Allen Reusch Memorial Scholarship Fund, which he established and supported with his family following the death of his son Christopher in 2008. Donations may be mailed to 165 East Street, Clinton, MA 01510.
