Former Harvard resident murdered in Maine

Kimberly Dobbie, a 48-year-old former Harvard resident, was stabbed to death outside a laundromat in Lewiston, Maine, Sunday, July 15. Maine police have charged 76-year-old Albert Flick with her murder.

Dobbie, a 1988 Bromfield graduate, moved to Maine a few years ago with her twin sons. Prior to that, Dobbie lived with her mother Susan on Pinnacle Road. Her sons, now 11 years old, both attended Hildreth Elementary School. Dobbie’s mother moved out of town last year.

The Lewiston Sun Journal reported that Dobbie and her sons were living in the Hope Haven Gospel Mission in Lewiston, but were planning to leave the shelter and move into an apartment in Farmington this week. Flick, who served 30 years in prison for stabbing his wife to death in 1979, was reportedly stalking Dobbie.

More information is available in the online version of the Lewiston Sun Journal.
