Spring season has ended, and one Bromfield team remained standing as this week’s paper went to press: the girls tennis team.
Handicapped by injuries and an inexperienced bench, the team has nevertheless had a spectacular season, defeating No. 4 seed Amesbury last week to earn a spot among the final four of Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association. However, on June 10 they fell to five-time champions Hamilton-Wenham, 3-2.
Elsewhere, senior Rosie Bradley was Bromfield’s lone entry in the 2026 All-State Meet of Champions held this year at Merrimack College. Bradley finished 11th out of 31 runners in the girls 2-mile run with a time of 11:18.96. The event was won by Greta Hammer of Needham, who crossed the line in 10:34.55.
