Fire and Ambulance Log: May 19 to 25, 2026

In the past week, the ambulance responded to 10 calls and transported 10 patients to the hospital, four with out-of-town ALS-Paramedic services onboard. The ambulance responded to two motor vehicle collisions.

Tuesday, May 19
At 7:26 p.m. Engine 1 was called to a crash on Route 2 eastbound, where its crew assisted with traffic control.

Wednesday, May 20
At 6:12 p.m. the duty officer went to Tahanto Trail, where a tree had fallen on the wires and something was possibly smoking; no service was needed.

Friday, May 22
At 2:04 p.m. an alarm sounded at a business on Ayer Road. Engine 4, the tower, and the tanker responded. Firefighters found the alarm had been set off by someone accidentally pulling a string in the bathroom.

Saturday, May 23
At 10:55 p.m. Engine 1 and the tower truck were called to a collision on Route 2, where the crews cleaned up spilled fluids.

Monday, May 25
At 12:48 a.m. an alarm went off at a home on Westcott Road. No report was yet available.
