Community Harvest Project celebrates certification as a Service Enterprise

Press release submitted by Community Harvest Project

Grafton and Harvard (MA) Community Harvest Project (CHP) is pleased to announce that they have received their certification as a Points of Light Service Enterprise sponsored by the Massachusetts Service Alliance and the MetroWest Nonprofit Network. Service Enterprise certification is a prestigious accomplishment for an organization. In fact, organizations that certify join the top 11 percent of nonprofits nationwide in volunteer management and organizational performance. Service Enterprise certification indicates that the organization has the capability and management expertise to strategically leverage volunteers to improve the performance of their organization.

“This Service Enterprise Program has highlighted our success in organizing volunteers in support of our mission while challenging us to think differently and explore additional opportunities for growth. It has refocused our staff and board on the importance of leading with volunteerism and on expanding our reach with all programming. In addition, the certification process has provided us with tools and training resources that will continue to be useful as we evaluate all facets of our operation and grow for years to come.” said Wayne McAuliffe, Manager of Volunteer Programs at CHP.
