Brown bag concert at Mechanics Hall. On Wednesday, Dec. 4, 10:45 a.m., hear Myanna, one of the most soulful saxophonists in Massachusetts, at beautiful Mechanics Hall in Worcester. A bagged lunch will be provided for $5, the concert is free.
Movie day at the senior center, Thursday, Dec. 5, 1 p.m., immediately following lunch. This month’s movie will be selected by the group from among several holiday-themed options.
Wreath making. Pat Cooper and Carol Lee Tonge will return Friday, Dec. 6, 10 a.m., to help make holiday wreaths with artificial greenery. Free.
Book discussion group, Monday, Dec. 9, 10 a.m. Join a discussion based on the self-help book “Eightysomethings” by Katharine Esty, about letting go, aging well, and finding unexpected happiness.
A National Grid customer care advocate will be available Wednesday, Dec. 11, between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. for one-on-one meetings to review energy bills, ways to save, payment plans, and more. Call the COA to schedule an appointment.
Memory cafe. On Wednesday, Dec. 11, 10:30 a.m., clients with dementia and their caregivers will gather to socialize and share festive holiday tunes.
The history of holiday traditions. Join a discussion Thursday, Dec. 12, 1 p.m., on how Christmas and Hanukkah traditions started and have evolved over time.
Spa day. On Monday, Dec. 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., A Spa For You in Westford will come to the Harvard Senior Center. Choose from manicure, pedicure, mini facial, and 10-minute chair massage, and pay only $7.50 for each. Sign up by Dec. 6.
Movies for grownups. This month’s movie tells the story of three brilliant African-American women at NASA at the dawn of the space age, and stars Octavia Spencer, Taraji Henson, Janelle Monae, and Kevin Costner. At the Harvard Public Library, 4 Pond Road, Monday, Dec. 30, 1 p.m.
Exchange small treasures in a traditional Yankee swap Thursday, Jan. 2, 10 a.m. Bring something received over the holidays or purchased for between $5 and $20.
In-person line dancing classes with instructor Joan Tellier start Thursday, Jan. 9, 9 a.m. Advance signups are required; the class requires at least six participants. Cost $5 per class.

Applications for the state fuel assistance program and for HEAT (Harvard Energy Assistance Team) financial help remain open to both homeowners and renters, income limits apply. Call the office for an appointment for help with the application process.
Weekly grocery shopping. The van to Market Basket in Littleton departs Fridays at 10 a.m.
Congregate meals. Meals will be served Tuesdays and Thursdays at noon at the senior center. Meals on wheels may also be arranged.
