Beach parking stickers
Parking stickers for the town beach are available on the Park and Recreation website. Visit harvardma.myrec.com/info/activities>>Beach Programs, Beach Parking Sticker. Stickers purchased online may be picked up at the pond when sticker checkers are on duty. Residents can also buy parking stickers at the pond with a check starting June 18, or in person with a check in the recreation director’s office in the bottom level of Fivesparks at 7 Fairbank Street. Office hours are Tuesday-Thursday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Roadway milling begins June 22
The DPW anticipates roadway milling to begin the week of June 22 on Old Shirley Road, Mill Road, and Craggs Road. Motorists should expect temporary delays, construction activity, and uneven road surfaces. The work depends on the weather so schedules may change. For questions, contact the DPW at 978-456-4130.
Registration for Summer Fun program
Harvard Park and Recreation will offer a summer program for kids ages 5 to 11 and separately for middle-schoolers. Activities, led by college students and teens, will include games, sports, hiking, arts and crafts, and a chance to cool off in Bare Hill Pond. Kids start and end each day at the pond and venture nearby to the playing fields, HES playground, and Bromfield tennis courts. Week-long sessions begin July 6 and run daily 1 to 4 p.m.; daily drop-in is also available. Register at harvardma.myrec.com.
Learn to Row on Bare Hill Pond
Registration is now open for youth and adult learn-to-row programs offered by the Bare Hill Rowing Association. Two-day classes start June 22. Registration open for Junior Conservation Camp
MassWildlife has announced that registration for the summer Junior Conservation Camp is now open. Designed for girls and boys age 13-17, the camp offers a hands-on curriculum focused on outdoor skills, conservation, and ethics. During the two-week overnight camp, teens can try new outdoor activities, improve their current skills, and meet like-minded peers.
Camp will be held Aug. 3 to Aug. 15 at the Moses Scout Reservation in Russell. For more information visit JuniorConservationCamp.org.
Free house number signs
Harvard Fire-EMS is accepting requests for house number signs. Can responders find you? Is your house number clearly visible from the road? Residents can sign up for a reflective house number sign to make their driveways more visible to emergency services. Free for Harvard residents; sign up at signs.harvardfire.com. Signs are custom-made and delivery may take a few months.
Recycle your Styrofoam
Styrofoam recycling will be held Saturday, June 27, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the DPW, 47 Depot Road, and will be open to all Harvard residents. Only white #6 Styrofoam will be accepted. For more information or to volunteer, contact the Board of Health at boh@harvard-ma.gov.
Transfer Station stickers
Transfer Station stickers are now on sale online, by mail, or through the Town Hall drop box. The price for a pair of stickers is $140, or $130 for people age 60 and older. Both stickers must be purchased at the same time. Orders should be submitted by June 22 so that stickers can be issued by July 1.

Loaves & Fishes
The Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry, 234 Barnum Road, Devens, provides food to people in need who reside in Ayer, Devens, Dunstable, Groton, Harvard, Littleton, and Shirley. Pantry hours are Wednesdays and Fridays, 9 a.m. to noon; first Tuesday, 4 to 7 p.m.; third Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon; and last Thursday, 9 a.m. to noon.
