Registration for the Tom Denney Nature Camp Summer 2019 program opens Feb.1 at tdnc.boltonconservationtrust.org.
The camp is for students entering 1st through-8th grades. It is a unique camp experience that offers five weekly sessions of fun and learning in the beautiful natural setting of Bolton's Bowers Springs conservation area. The goal of our camp is to create a safe, enjoyable outdoor learning experience that provides opportunities for children to learn about themselves and develop understanding, respect and responsibility for the environment in which they live while making new friends, taking on new challenges, and most of all having fun! Activities include swimming, group games in the field and woods, Mystery Animal, Predator and Prey, The Amazing Race, arts and crafts, songs, tracking, scavenger hunt, hiking, exploring, campfires, building a shelter, and more.
Campers entering grades 6 through 8 may choose to participate in the Eco Adventures program where they will explore the wildlife of Bolton while learning how to safely and responsibly enjoy the outdoors, kayak on the pond, go to a rock climbing gym, have a raft building competition, camp overnight and make s’mores, and more.
Applicants for Counselor in Training must be entering 9th grade or above and attend 0rientation sessions July 1-3 and then choose two weeks of camp.
There are five weekly sessions that run July 8 through Aug. 9, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
There is no residency requirement. We welcome everyone. Before/after care is available. We play in the rain!
