Rollstone Bank & Trust has donated $10,000 the Groton History Center (GHC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation of the town’s history and its residents, to fund GHC’s education mission, including exhibit expansion, interactive digital learning tools, curriculum development and student program implementation.
“The Groton History Center provides an invaluable service to our community, helping protect and bring awareness to the town’s expansive history,” said Martin F. Connors, Jr., President & CEO of Rollstone Bank & Trust. “We are thrilled to be able to support them in continuing their goal of sharing stories that educate, enlighten and challenge what we know about Groton’s history.”
For more than 130 years, GHC has protected the legacy of Groton through the collection of artifacts, documents and memorabilia. The endowment campaign, managed by the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts, ensures that history remains relevant to future generations through education, preservation and museum support.

Recent exhibits include Carved Birds of Harvey Sargisson and Sense of Place, a themed project bringing together Groton residents to each create an inspired piece of art. The exhibit debuted in the fall of 2021 and attracted more than 500 people throughout the region.
