At 10:13 a.m. a Prospect Hill Road resident called about someone who had come to the door and tried to convince the resident to have the driveway sealed. (Later in the week police posted a warning on Facebook about driveway scams.) At 11:12 a.m. Harvard officers went to Sudbury to assist in the arrest of Steven Lipscomb for crimes against a child. According to information posted on Facebook by the Harvard police, Lipscomb was arraigned the following day for indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 and for distributing obscene matter to a minor; both charges are felonies. The case was reported last year to Harvard police, who have worked since then to obtain evidence against Lipscomb and to have a warrant issued for his arrest. Sudbury police made the arrest, as he lives there. At 6:15 p.m. several callers reported a two-car collision near the intersection of Whitney and Littleton roads; no one was injured, but two tow trucks were called.
