The Ambulance Service responded to seven calls and transported six people to the hospital, three with Advanced Life Support services on board.
Tuesday, Oct. 1
At 3:15 p.m. an Old Shirley Road resident reported the smell of gas outside the house. The duty officers detected a very faint odor by the propane tank and called the propane company to service the tank.
Wednesday, Oct. 2
At 7:41 p.m. Engine 2 went with the ambulance to a medical emergency on Route 2 eastbound; the engine crew provided scene safety and traffic control.
Thursday, Oct. 3
At 1:15 p.m. a 911 caller reported a vehicle on fire on Route 2 eastbound. The crews of Engines 2 and 4 responded and extinguished the fire; the vehicle was towed.
Monday, Oct. 7
At 9:40 a.m. a fire alarm sounded at a Littleton Road home; Engine 2 responded, and the crew found the detector was faulty. At 11:54 a.m. a caller reported a chirping detector at a Still River Depot Road home; the duty officers checked and advised the homeowner to replace the battery.
