The Ambulance Service responded to four calls and transported four patients to the hospital, two with Advanced Life Support services on board. There were no motor vehicle collisions or lift assists.
Tuesday, March 18
At 11:41 p.m. a Still River Road resident called to report the smell of smoke. The duty officer searched the area but found nothing amiss.
Wednesday, March 19
At 1:32 a.m. Engine 4 and the tanker were called through mutual aid to a building fire in Berlin, but the fire was extinguished before they arrived.
Saturday, March 22
At 2:48 p.m. Engine 4, a forestry truck, and the tanker were called to an 11-acre brush fire in Littleton, which required several hours to put out. At 7:05 p.m. the duty officer received a report of a burn pile still going on Blanchard Road; the resident was told to extinguish the fire, as it was well past the 4 p.m. deadline.
Sunday, March 23
At 10:30 a.m. a forestry truck and the tanker were called to put out a brush fire on Sawyer Lane, where embers from Saturday’s fire in Littleton had rekindled across the border in Harvard.
Monday, March 24
At 9:49 p.m. a carbon monoxide detector went off at a Westcott Road home; it proved to be a false alarm.
