From Dec. 2 through Dec. 8, the ambulance responded to eight calls and transported five patients to the hospital, two with Harvard ALS-Advanced personnel on board and two with out-of-town ALS-Paramedics on board. The ambulance was called to one motor vehicle collision and provided two lift assists.
Tuesday, Dec. 2
At 11:03 a.m. firefighters were called to the crash on Route 2 westbound; they remained there until the damaged vehicle was towed away. At 3:30 p.m. the fire chief responded to a fire alarm at a West Bare Hill Road home; there was no smoke or fire, and the alarm was traced to a defective detector on the third floor.
Friday, Dec. 5
At 5:51 a.m. a 911 caller reported the smell of smoke in a Madigan Lane house. The duty officer found the smoke was from a misfire in the oil burner. He shut off the burner and told the homeowner to have it serviced.
