For those who enjoy the annual Messiah Sing at the Unitarian Universalist Church, there's a different Messiah option this year.
Musicians Kathryn and Bryce Denney of Marlborough have received national coverage (see www.nytimes.com/2020/10/07/arts/music/coronavirus-choir.html) on their "Driveway Choruses," and they have organized a COVID-safe Messiah Sing at Bolton Office Park, 580 Main Street in Bolton, on Saturday, Dec. 19.
Conductor Mike Pfitzer will lead about 100 wirelessly mic'd soloists from Opera On Tap Boston, Harvard-Radcliffe chorus, Cantata Singers, and Chorus Pro Musica. The mixed sound will be transmitted out on FM radio back to listeners who can join in from their cars in Bolton. Since there is no latency, people can actually sing together.
