Proofreaders wanted

They don’t get bylines, but Harvard Press proofreaders are an underacknowledged reason for the paper’s success, making sure the work of our reporters and contributors is accurate and typo free.

We’re looking for two understudies to learn the Press way of proofing, to substitute when regular staff is absent, and to ultimately join the Press as permanent members of our editorial team. Previous copy editing or proofreading experience is preferred, though not required, as is knowledge of Associated Press style. We’ll teach you what you need to know.

These are part-time positions, typically 4 to 8 hours on Wednesdays. For further information, contact John Osborn, at editor@harvardpress.net.
