Police Log: November 18 to 23, 2025

Between Nov. 18 and Nov. 23, police made 40 motor vehicle stops, 11 resulting in verbal warnings, 27 in written warnings or citations, and two in civil citations, which carry a fine. Officers also made one well-being check, issued or renewed one firearm permit, and responded to two false burglar alarms.

Tuesday, Nov. 18
At 7:59 p.m. police received several 911 calls about a car that had gone off Mass. Ave. and crashed in some woods along the road. One person was injured and taken to a hospital.

Wednesday, Nov. 19
At 10:38 a.m. someone called with suspicions about a stranger walking back and forth on Woodchuck Hill Road. It was a nearby worker talking on his phone. At 1:14 p.m. a Still River Road resident told police he had gone to the Registry of Motor Vehicles online site to register a motorcycle, and he found an unknown vehicle had been registered in his name, which is a form of identity fraud. At 2:47 p.m. someone came to the station for advice about issues with a family member; he was told it was a civil matter. At 5:37 p.m. a caller reported a dark green pickup swerving from lane to lane, heading into Bolton from Stow Road to East End Road. Although an officer arrived within three minutes, the pickup was not located. At 5:50 p.m. an Ayer Road resident called, saying he had heard someone open and close the door to his house. Police searched the area but found no one. At 11:34 p.m. a man called 911, saying he had fallen asleep while driving on Interstate 495 northbound and believed he had hit something. State police took charge of the matter.

Thursday, Nov. 20
At 3:44 p.m. a caller reported hitting a deer near the intersection of Still River and Willow roads. The car was damaged, and the deer ran off. At 4:25 p.m. a caller reported a noisy argument on Mill Road.

Friday, Nov. 21
At 10:01 a.m. someone turned in a black wallet found near the library; police returned it to the owner. At 11:39 a.m. on Still River Road, a 28-year-old Clinton woman received a summons for driving an uninsured and unregistered car; the car was towed. At 4:08 p.m. a Warren Avenue resident reported the theft of several FedEx packages that had been delivered to their home. At 5:48 p.m. Groton police asked for assistance in locating a Harvard resident who had been involved in a minor collision. At 11:56 p.m. a Littleton County Road resident called, saying someone had just rung her doorbell, which seemed alarming at that hour.

Saturday, Nov. 22
At 1:44 p.m. a Candleberry Lane resident reported hitting the wall of his driveway. At 3:32 p.m. a caller told police that some possessions had been taken from the Ayer Road apartment where she had lived until recently; police said it was a civil issue. At 6:38 p.m. a 51-year-old Somerville man was stopped on Ayer Road for having a broken light on his car and was also found to be driving without a license. He received a summons for both violations, and the car was towed.

Sunday, Nov. 23
At 1:05 p.m. a Stow Road resident called with suspicions about a car with some type of recording equipment. The caller said the car had driven onto private property, but it was gone when police arrived. At 4:25 p.m. an officer reported a dead animal on the side of Ayer Road, and the Department of Public Works was notified to remove it.
