Police Log: April 7 to 13, 2026

In the past week, police made 78 motor vehicle stops, 24 resulting in verbal warnings, 52 in written warnings or citations, and two in towing the vehicle. Officers also responded to a disabled vehicle, made a well-being check, and responded to a false burglar alarm.

Tuesday, April 7
At 3:10 p.m. a caller reported a crash on Route 2 eastbound. State police had jurisdiction. At 3:15 p.m. a Stow Road resident called 911 after finding a note at her door with someone’s contact information on it. She said she had called the phone number but got no answer, and she wanted to notify the police because she found the matter concerning. At 5:33 p.m. a Tahanto Trail resident told police someone in another town had made suicidal statements. Police in that town were notified.

Wednesday, April 8
At 1:53 p.m. an Old Mill Road resident reported that a man had come to their house saying he was a driveway paver and had some extra asphalt left over in his truck. However, the unknown man had then driven away. An officer located the man and told him he needed a permit to solicit work in town.

Thursday, April 9
At 8:36 a.m. a caller told police a man had pulled into his driveway on Old Littleton Road and walked around the house. The stranger claimed he was there to inspect electrical work, but the homeowner had not had any such work done in several years. However, the homeowner could not describe either the man or his car. An officer said he suspected the person was casing the house. At 11:35 a.m. someone came to the station to report a fraud.

Friday, April 10
At 9:01 a.m. a 28-year-old Hudson man received a summons on Ayer Road for speeding and unlicensed operation of an unregistered vehicle; the car was towed. At 11:10 a.m. a caller reported an erratic driver on Mass. Ave. The driver failed to stop for police but was later stopped on Route 2 westbound, where police found the person was having a medical episode and was taken to a hospital. At 11:35 a.m. an oil truck broke down near the intersection of Littleton County and Oak Hill roads, but it was not a road hazard, and a mechanic was soon working on it.

Saturday, April 11
At 1:35 p.m. someone reported a fallen tree limb on Old Littleton Road. An officer searched the area but did not find anything amiss.

Sunday, April 12
At 7:44 a.m. a 911 caller reported a crash on Route 2 eastbound; state police had jurisdiction. At 12:38 p.m. someone came to the police station seeking directions to the Historical Society after getting lost in town.

Monday, April 13
At 8:50 a.m. a resident came to the station to report a case of fraud. At 2:39 p.m. an officer observed that a speed sign on Prospect Hill Road had been vandalized. At 2:46 p.m. an officer filed a report on a past sexual offense. At 3:03 p.m. on Still River Road a person received a summons for driving without a license; the vehicle was towed. At 5:38 p.m. state police asked for help in locating a black Suburban that had been racing with another vehicle on Route 2 and then exited onto Ayer Road; police located a similar vehicle, but no one was in it at the time.
