Thursday, June 11
At 10:24 a.m. an alarm went off at a business on Ayer Road, but firefighters found it was a false alarm. At 12:08 p.m. an alarm at a Stow Road residence also proved to be a false alarm. At 5:01 p.m. a 911 caller reported the smell of burning at a Woodside Road home. When firefighters responded, they found that the warm, humid weather had created a downdraft in the chimney, bringing the smoky smell into the house.

Saturday, June 13
At 8:29 a.m. an Ayer Road resident reported trouble with a smoke alarm. The duty officer found there was fluid in the alarm and it needed to be replaced. At 9:36 p.m. a Woodside Road resident (not at the same address as on Thursday) reported the smell of burning in the house. Firefighters found the motor of a desk fan was overheating, causing the smell. They unplugged and removed the fan. At 9:44 p.m. the tower truck was called to a two-car collision and rollover on Route 2 eastbound. Littleton firefighters also responded. The crews cleared debris and fluids and provided scene safety.
