In the past week, the ambulance responded to 13 calls and transported nine patients to the hospital, one with Harvard ALS-Advanced personnel on board and three with out-of-town ALS Paramedic services on board. The ambulance responded to one motor vehicle collision and provided two lift assists.
Wednesday, April 22
At 6:45 p.m. the duty officer found a permitted open burn still going on Stow Road. Because burn piles must be completely out by 4 p.m., the homeowner was ordered to extinguish it.
Thursday, April 23
At 2:35 p.m. Engine 2 and the tanker were called to a vehicle fire on Route 2 westbound. The Harvard crews put out the fire with assistance from Littleton, and the car was towed away.
Friday, April 24
At 8:42 a.m. Engine 2 and the ambulance responded to a two-car crash on Route 2 eastbound. At least one person was taken to the hospital.
Sunday, April 26
At 4:03 p.m. a Harvard forestry truck was called to provide mutual aid at a brush fire in Boxborough, but the call was canceled while the truck was on its way.
Monday, April 27
At 8:25 a.m. a 911 caller reported an outdoor fire on Old Littleton Road. Forestry trucks and the tanker responded and found someone had started burning a brush pile well before the allowed time of 10 a.m. However, the person did have a burn permit and so was allowed to continue, with supervision. At 4:31 p.m. the duty officer found the same fire was still burning after the 4 p.m. deadline and ordered it extinguished.
