Sports Roundup – February 20, 2026

The winter season has ended for the indoor track and swimming and diving teams. Qualified athletes from both teams participated in last weekend’s Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association state championships. See stories on page 9.

The boys and girls basketball teams qualified for this year’s MIAA Division 4 basketball state championships. Brackets will be announced Feb. 21, with tournament play scheduled to begin Feb. 23.

The Alpine ski teams wrapped up their season with an All-League Race Feb. 13 at Nashoba Valley. Three boys from the Bromfield co-op team and two girls have qualified for the states, coming up Feb. 24.

  • 2/14 MIAA Division 2 Championships

    Junior Eliana Laham won the 200-yard freestyle and placed second in the 100-yard butterfly. Bromfield competed in eight events and finished 12th with 60 points among 31 schools. Weston won the meet with 262 points.

  • 2/14 MIAA Division 2 Championships

    Junior Bowen Clarke placed third in the 200-yard and 500-yard freestyle races. Bromfield, competing in just four events, placed 15th among 41 schools with 44 points. Wayland won the meet with 291 points.

  • 2/14 MIAA Division 5 State Championship.
    Rosie Bradley won the 2-mile and placed fifth in the 1-mile. The team qualified for four events and tied for 13th with Frontier Regional and Quabbin, with 14 points among 39 schools. Lunenburg won the meet with 42 points.

Bradley will compete in the 2-mile at the MIAA Meet of Champions (at The TRACK at New Balance, Boston), Feb. 21

  • 2/14 MIAA Division 5 State Championship.

    The 4x800-meter relay team finished third, and senior Harrison Binnick finished sixth in the 1000-meter. The team qualified for four events and tied with Nashoba Valley Technical for 21st place among 40 schools with 9 points. Parker Charter Essential won the meet with 46 points.

The boys 4x800-meter relay team of Harrison Binnick, Micah Wiebe, Kai Kemeza, and Liam Kemeza has qualified to compete in the 39th Annual MIAA Indoor Track and Field Meet of Champions (at The TRACK at New Balance, Boston), Feb. 21.
