School website is updated for accessibility

The Harvard School District’s website (www.psharvard.org) has been upgraded so that it is usable by people who are blind or have impaired vision. Superintendent Linda Dwight told the School Committee Monday that the website was revised to meet standards set by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and is now compliant with its requirements. The new website will work with screen magnifying or screen reading programs, which are widely used by people who are blind or partially sighted. Screen readers turn on-screen content into speech.
