Public Shade Tree Hearing
Pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 87, Sections 3 and 4, a public hearing will be held on June 9, 2026, at 9 a.m. starting at 203 Ayer Road and proceeding north, to consider the removal of the following public trees as requested by the Harvard DPW (represented by Eric Ryder) related to the Ayer Road improvement project:

ID#: 4 Species: Maple, Diameter at breast height: 12", Location: 304 Ayer Road
ID#: 5 Species: Maple, Diameter at breast height: 14", Location: 304 Ayer Road
ID#: 6 Species: Maple, Diameter at breast height: 15", Location: 304 Ayer Road
ID#: 7 Species: Catalpa, Diameter at breast height: 46", Location: 310 Ayer Road
ID#: 8 Species: Oak, Diameter at breast height: 33", Location: 335 Ayer Road
The trees identified above have been posted and/or marked with a ribbon for public inspection. Any objections to the removal of these trees may be submitted in writing to the Tree Warden prior to the public hearing or stated during the hearing. If you plan to attend, please wear a high-visibility jacket/shirt.
If not presenting your objection during the public hearing, please email objections to harvardtreewarden@stillriver.org no later than 24 hours prior to the hearing (deadline June 8, 2026, at 9 a.m. Eastern U.S. time). Your objection must have your reason for objection, full name, address in Harvard, and contact phone number in case the Tree Warden has any questions. If email is not an option, please call the Tree Warden at 978-551-8135 to make other arrangements.
