Public Hearing
The Harvard Select Board will hold a Zoom (virtual) public hearing on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025, at 7:15 p.m. to answer a pole petition from National Grid. The proposed petition would permit them to locate poles, wires, and fixtures, including the necessary sustaining and protecting fixtures, along and across, the following public way:
Stow Road
A - Stow Road - National Grid to install 2 JO poles on Stow Road beginning at a point approximately 490 feet South of the centerline of the intersection of Stow Road and Haskell Lane and continuing approximately 138 feet in a SW direction. Install P10-84 Stow Road approximately 31’ east of P10 Stow Road. Install Pl 1-84 Stow Road approximately 271 SE of Pl 1 Stow Road, Harvard, MA.
B - Stow Road - National Grid to install 3 JO poles on Stow Road beginning at a point approximately 224 feet west of the centerline of the intersection of Stow Road and Murray Lane and continuing approximately 246 feet in a NW direction. Install P32-84 Stow Road approximately 29’ south of P32 Stow Road. Install P31-84 Stow Road approximately 30’ SW of P3l Stow Road. Install P30-84 Stow Road approximately 26’ SW of P30 Stow Road, Harvard, MA.
C - Stow Road - National Grid to install 1 JO pole on Stow Road beginning at a point approximately 637 feet South of the centerline of the intersection of Stow Road and Murray Lane. Install P40-84 Stow Road approximately 25’ NW of P40 Stow Road, Harvard, MA.
D - Stow Road - National Grid to relocate 1 JO pole on Stow Road beginning at a point approximately 54 feet northwest of the centerline of the intersection of Stow Road and Westcott Road. Relocate P52 Stow Road approximately 10’ north of its current location on island between Stow Road and Westcott Road, Harvard, MA.
E - Stow Road - National Grid to install 3 JO pole on Stow Road beginning at a point approximately 308 feet Southeast of the centerline of the intersection of Stow Road and Slough Road and continuing approximately 252 feet in a Southeast direction. National Grid to install P3-84 Stow Road approximately 27’ NE of P3 Stow Road. Install P4-84 Stow Rd approximately 27’ NE of P4 Stow Road. Install PS-84 Stow Road approximately 27’ SE of PS Stow Road, Harvard, MA.
Meeting participation instructions will be listed on the meeting agenda posted on the Town of Harvard’s website at least 48 hours prior to this meeting. Any persons interested or wishing to be heard regarding this petition should appear at the designated time and place or may submit written comments no later than 12 p.m. on the date listed above to jdoucet@harvard-ma.gov.
