Select Board community hour

Come share your thoughts, ideas, and feedback with Select Board members SusanMary Redinger and Eve Wittenberg Thursday, May 14, 10 a.m., at the Devens Community Center, 100 Sherman Ave., Devens. This is an opportunity to ask questions, learn more about ongoing community initiatives, and engage directly with local leadership.


Letter carriers’ food drive

The National Letter Carriers’ Food Drive is Saturday, May 9. Residents can fill the bag left by their letter carrier with nonperishable goods and leave it by their mailbox. Goods may also be brought to the post office at 215 Ayer Road during regular hours. All food collected in the area will be brought to Loaves & Fishes and distributed to neighbors in need.


T-shirt design contest

The Tom Denney Nature Camp is holding a design contest for its summer camp T-shirt. Nature-themed designs are due Tuesday, May 26, 5 p.m., and the winning entry will be selected by camp staff. For details visit tomdenneynaturecamp.org/tee-shirt-design-contest.


Behavioral health help line

The Massachusetts behavioral health help line connects individuals and families with mental health or substance abuse concerns to comprehensive treatment services. The help line is free, confidential, and available to anyone living in Massachusetts. No health insurance is required.

Summer rowing programs

Registration is now open for competitive youth and youth/adult learn-to-row programs offered by the Bare Hill Rowing Association. Two-day classes start in June. Apply for SUN Bucks

Loaves & Fishes

The Loaves & Fishes food pantry, 234 Barnum Road, Devens, provides food to people in need who reside in Ayer, Devens, Dunstable, Groton, Harvard, Littleton, and Shirley. Pantry hours are Wednesdays and Fridays, 9 a.m. to noon; first Tuesday, 4 to 7 p.m.; third Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon; last Thursday, 9 a.m. to noon. Saturday hazardous waste collection

The Devens Regional Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center will accept hazardous waste Saturday, May 9, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at 9 Cook Street (rear), Devens. Closed during rain; reopens when rain stops. For information on items accepted, packaging, and fees, visit DevensHHW.com.
