Bring your tiny dancer and we'll supply the groovin' music, awesome lights, and disco balls. Drop in anytime during the one hour party. Bonus points for dressing disco style. Note that there will be flashing lights and noise.

September 2, 2026 – September 6, 2026Old Frog Pond Farm38 Eldridge Road, Harvard, MAAge-old practices of meditation such as Zen remain an effective means of promoting stress-reduction and attaining self-awareness. “Music is Meditation” will explore the use of music in place of verbal mantras. Sessions will employ recurrent musical motives or tranquil meandering themes as a focus for inward centering.

The opening reception is an opportunity to follow a self-guided tour of the exhibit, pick organic raspberries, listen to music by friends, and enjoy refreshments. The event is free and open to the public.

September 8, 2026The Devens Farmers Market returns with fresh fruits and veggies, every other Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the corner of Elm and Jackson Streets. Choosing local food supports nearby growers and connects everyday choices to the broader climate action goals of Devens.

September 8, 2026Rogers Field37 Buena Vista Street, Devens, MATeen Advisory Board is a volunteer group of students in grades 7-12 who assist the library by helping plan teen programs and events, and select books, movies and other materials for the teen collection. We also do projects like decorating the teen room, testing games, and choosing summer reading prizes.

September 9, 2026 – September 9, 2026Old Frog Pond Farm38 Eldridge Road, Harvard, MAReading to therapy dogs is a fantastic way to bolster a child’s reading confidence. Children who are independent readers can make a 20 minute appointment to read to one of two dogs; on each date, six children total will get a chance to have either Rhia or Chase’s undivided attention.

Infants, toddlers, and children of all ages love their interactive shows and original songs. Rockabye Beats programs include exploring different instruments, a sprinkle of Spanish vocabulary, movement through freestyle dancing, and more.

September 10, 2026Harvard Public Library4 Pond Road, Harvard, MACommonwealth Fusion Systems will host a tour of SPARC, their prototype fusion energy machine currently under construction at Devens. Space is limited and attendees must be age 18 or older and with government identification. Proper attire is required, including long pants and closed toe, hard-soled shoes. Advance registration is required.

September 15, 2026Teens and tweens in grades 6-12 are invited for a workshop making sweet treats. We will be decorating cookies or cupcakes with frosting and candy. This event goes from 2:45 p.m. until we run out of treats. Decorating themes are chosen by the Teen Advisory Board.
