In the past week, police made six motor vehicle stops, one resulting in a verbal warning and five in written warnings or citations. Officers also helped a person who was locked out of a car, responded to a disabled motor vehicle, and responded to a false burglar alarm.
Tuesday, June 3
At 8:15 a.m. a Mass. Ave. resident called, saying there might be minks or rodents in their house; the call was referred to the animal control officer.
Wednesday, June 4
At 1:57 p.m. an officer used the drone to help the harbormaster survey the weed growth on Bare Hill Pond. At 6:24 p.m. a 911 caller reported a collision on Route 2 westbound; state police had jurisdiction.
Thursday, June 5
At 7:33 a.m. a caller reported a previous break-in at the large construction site at 203 Ayer Road; an investigation is ongoing. At 8:28 a.m. someone called with concerns about a possibly injured turtle near a pond on Under Pin Hill Road; the turtle turned out to be laying eggs. At 8:39 a.m. a 911 caller reported a crash on Route 2 eastbound; state police had jurisdiction. At 3:37 p.m. Boxborough police asked a Harvard officer to assist with a possible restraining order violation at a Paddock Lane residence. At 5:30 p.m. police notified Verizon about a tree limb on a utility line near the intersection of Ayer and Poor Farm roads. At 9:45 p.m. a caller reported a crash on Interstate 495 southbound; state police had jurisdiction.
Friday, June 6
At 9:32 a.m. the Department of Public Works was notified about rocks that rain had washed onto Ann Lees Road. At 5:03 p.m. someone called about a car with a damaged tire on Old Mill Road; the car required a tow, and the driver got a lift to the station to wait for a ride home. At 8:29 p.m. a Whitney Road resident called 911 about a missing juvenile; the young person was quickly located.
Saturday, June 7
At 3:22 p.m. someone called to ask police about removing a person from an Ayer Road residence; an officer explained it was a civil issue. At 10:28 p.m. state police asked for assistance from Harvard officers on Route 2 eastbound with a car that was refusing to stop. At 10:41 p.m. a Brown Road resident reported a crash; a 24-year-old Harvard man received a summons for leaving the scene of an accident with property damage; the car was towed.
Sunday, June 8
At 7:37 a.m. a 911 caller reported a tree limb leaning on a power line on Glenview Drive; National Grid was called.
Monday, June 9
At 12:28 a.m. Boxborough police asked Harvard for assistance in locating a missing person. At 11 a.m. an officer saw a fallen tree on the road near the intersection of Littleton County and Old Schoolhouse roads; the officer cleared the tree off the road. At 4:55 p.m. a 911 caller reported a two-car collision at the intersection in the center of town.
