In the past week, police made 10 motor vehicle stops, seven resulting in verbal warnings, two in written warnings or citations, and one with no action needed. Officers also responded to two calls about disabled motor vehicles and made one mental health evaluation.
Tuesday, Dec. 10
At 2:30 p.m. a Littleton County Road resident called after finding a lost cat and asked to speak with the animal control officer. At 8:03 p.m. a 911 caller reported a car had struck a pedestrian in the heavy fog on Pinnacle Road; police say the pedestrian did not require medical attention. The driver, an 82-year-old Harvard resident, was charged with marked lanes violations, leaving the scene of personal injury, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
Wednesday, Dec. 11
At 7:08 a.m. there was a crash on Interstate 495 northbound; state police had jurisdiction. At 8:20 a.m. a 911 caller reported a crash on Route 2 eastbound, but then canceled the call. At 8:53 a.m. someone on Woodside Road called to say a burglar alarm was going off at a nearby house, but police found nothing amiss there. At 9:17 a.m. an officer spoke with someone at the police station about sex offenses. No further information was available.
Thursday, Dec. 12
At 7:56 a.m. an East Bare Hill Road resident reported a misdelivered package by their mailbox; it was addressed to Bolton. At 5:05 p.m. Carlisle police asked Harvard officers for help in locating a resident of Craggs Road, but the person was not there.
Friday, Dec. 13
At 9:42 a.m. a caller told police there was an injured deer near Quarry Lane, and the animal control officer was informed. At 2:03 p.m. someone on Stow Road reported finding a dog; again the animal control officer was called. At 2:17 p.m. a resident came to the police station to report a case of fraud. At 2:57 p.m. another resident came to the station, this time to turn in an old firearm. At 9:21 p.m. there was a crash on Interstate 495 northbound; state police had jurisdiction.
Saturday, Dec. 14
At 11:40 p.m. a caller reported someone driving recklessly on Route 2 eastbound, and state police were informed.
Sunday, Dec. 15
At 4:30 p.m. Bolton police asked Harvard officers for backup at a possible case of breaking and entering, but there had been no crime.
Monday, Dec. 16
At 9:49 a.m. someone on Highland Avenue called to speak with the animal control officer about a dog. At 2:10 p.m. an Old Mill Road resident reported their dogs were missing. At 4:50 p.m. an officer investigated a case of vandalism on Oak Hill Road. At 4:56 p.m. a 911 caller reported hitting a deer on Ayer Road.
