The Bromfield girls cross country team won this year’s MIAA Division 3 championship at Devens yesterday, Nov. 18, beating the 21 other qualifying teams in the competition with a score of 125 points. Junior Evelyn Wool led the way, finishing fifth with a time of 19:16.04. The victory earned the team an escort, sirens blaring, by the Harvard Fire Department and EMT ambulance from Route 2 to the high school.
The Bromfield boys finished fifth among the 22 schools in their event with a score of 190. Bromfield’s lead runner was freshman Ben McWaters who placed 17th with a time of 16:51.27.
