Blues and rock duo Jumpin’ Juba will perform Wednesday, Sept. 6, at 1 p.m.


Relax your mind
Awaken your senses and reflect on your world at a free meditation circle, Thursday, Sept. 7, at 1 p.m. 


Yoga clinic
A chair yoga clinic will take place Friday, Sept. 8, at 10 a.m. This program is free.


Wild Inside
Learn about fishers, beavers, and black bears at a naturalist presentation Tuesday, Sept. 12, at 1 p.m.


Lunchtime
On Wednesday, Sept. 13, at 11:45 a.m., enjoy lunch at the True West Brewing Company in West Acton. Van fee is $2.

Meet a dog from Therapy Dogs International, Thursday, Sept. 14, at 1 p.m. No signup needed.


Safe computing
Learn how to keep your computer safe, secure, and free from malware, Sept. 15 at 11 a.m. This workshop is limited to seven participants.


Balance talk
Learn how to maintain your balance and steadiness with Dr. Naseem Chatiwala, Tuesday, Sept. 19, at 1 p.m.


Reiki with Rama
Reiki master Rama Putcha will offer free 30-minute sessions Thursday, Sept. 21, between 9 a.m. and noon. Space is limited.


Podiatry clinic
Dr. Alissa Kuizinas will trim nails and treat corns and calluses, Friday, Sept. 22, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. $40 for a 15-minute appointment.


Garden sculpture tour
Tour the colorful Chiaozza sculptures at the New England Botanical Garden at Tower Hill, Boylston, Tuesday, Sept. 26, at 10:30 a.m. Lunch will follow at the Farmer and Fork restaurant. Admission free; van fee $5; bring lunch money.


Learn about Masons
On Friday, Sept. 29, at 9:45 a.m., visit the Scottish Rite Masonic Museum in Lexington, with lunch afterward at Nosh by Concord Market. Museum admission is free, van fee $5; bring lunch money.


Help with computers
Adam and Doug are available for one-on-one computer training or anything related to computers or technology. Call for an appointment, or browse through their online computer resource center at sites.google.com/view/hcoa-lab.


Books at home
If you are homebound, call the library at 978-456-4114, or email reference@harvardpubliclibrary.org to have books delivered.


Van guidelines
Fees for the van vary according to destination; payment in exact change is expected at the time of a ride. To schedule, call the COA; 48 hours’ notice is requested. The van is disinfected daily and between riders. Masks are recommended.
The COA is looking for part-time drivers.


Fitness classes

  • Fitness classes are offered online via Zoom and in person.
  • Aerobics and weight-strengthening: Mondays and Wednesdays, 9 to 10 a.m., via Zoom. $36 per 12-class session.
  • Line dancing: Mondays, 10:15 a.m. via Zoom. $4 per class.
  • Zumba gold: Tuesdays, 6:30 p.m. $5 per class.
  • Yoga for everybody: Tuesdays, 9:30 a.m. in person at the Congregational Church, 5 Still River Road, and via Zoom. $48 per six-week session; $10 for drop-ins. In-person attendees must show proof of vaccination.
  • Tai chi: Thursdays, 9 a.m. $25/month, $7/class.

  • Vet Cafe: Second Tuesday of the month, 9 a.m.
  • Men’s coffee: Wednesdays, 9 a.m.
  • Women’s coffee: Fridays, 10 a.m.
  • Mahjong: Thursdays, 1 p.m.
  • Fiber arts and knitting: Thursdays, 1 p.m.
  • Social hour for singles: Tuesdays, 1:15 p.m.
  • Afternoon bridge, Wednesdays, 12:30 p.m.
  • Men’s bridge: Wednesdays, 7:30 p.m.
  • Grocery shopping: The van leaves at 10:30 a.m. on Fridays for Market Basket in Littleton. $2 per person. Call to reserve a seat.
