At 2:06 a.m. a gas detector went off at a home on White Lane; the duty officer found it had been set off by chemicals the occupant was using to refinish furniture.
Wednesday, June 21
At 4:19 p.m. Engine 4 went to Boxborough to cover the station there while the Boxborough firefighters held a retirement party for their chief.
Thursday, June 22
At 11:38 p.m. a caller reported a car fire on Route 2 eastbound, but the call was canceled while Harvard firefighters were on their way, because the Littleton Fire Department had taken charge.
Friday, June 23
At 12:07 p.m. a fire alarm came in from a home on Littleton Road. Engine 2, the tower truck, and the tanker responded. The cause turned out to be a faulty detector on the second floor. At 12:31 p.m. a Trail Ridge Way resident called 911 to report an oven fire caused by burned food; firefighters checked the kitchen walls with a thermal camera to make sure the fire had not spread and found it had not.
Saturday, June 24
At 12:50 a.m. Engine 2 was called to a crash on Interstate 495 northbound, where the crew assisted with patient care and cleaned up debris. At 12:14 p.m. Engines 1 and 2 and the tower truck responded to a fire alarm at a house on Depot Road; it was a false alarm with no apparent cause. At 1:17 p.m. a smoke detector went off at the bowling alley on Ayer Road, caused by a belt slipping on machinery. At 10:02 p.m. a smoke detector went off in one of the restrooms at Fruitlands; a firefighter cleaned and reset the alarm.
Sunday, June 25
At 12:05 a.m. Engine 4 was called to a crash on Interstate 495 northbound, where the crew helped clean up debris and fluids. Minutes later, at 12:09 a.m., the duty officer and the crew on Engine 2 investigated another fire alarm at the bowling alley but were unable to find what had set it off.
Monday, June 26
At 3:20 p.m. Harvard firefighters were called to a three-car crash on Interstate 495 northbound, but the call was canceled.
