Holiday closings
Town offices and the public library will be closed Tuesday, July 4. Town Hall will be open Monday, July 3, and the library will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Beach parking stickers
Lifeguards and sticker checkers are now working full time at the beach; swimming and boating lessons began June 30. Parking stickers cannot be purchased at the beach; instead, buy them through a link on the town’s website, and you will receive an email containing a barcode to bring to the beach, where you can get your sticker.

Hazardous waste disposal
The Devens Regional Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center, 9 Cook Street (rear), Devens, will be open July 5 and 8 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Learn more about participant requirements at devenshhw.com.
Farm volunteers sought
Help get fresh produce to the homes of folks experiencing food insecurity. Community Harvest Project is seeking volunteers for its farm at 37 Wheeler Road, North Grafton, July 3, 5, 6, and 7, and at its Harvard orchard, 115 Prospect Hill Road, starting Aug. 31. The Board of Health advises checking any of three websites for air quality information.
- Check current air quality by zip code at AirNow.gov.
- Daily Massachusetts air quality updates may be found at mass.gov/air-monitoring-in-massachusetts.
- The Centers for Disease Control Prevention offer resources on air quality and health at cdc.gov/air/particulate_matter.html.
New Transfer Station stickers needed July 1
A Transfer Station sticker must be affixed to your vehicle by July 1. The cost is $130 for up to two cars. Sticker request forms may be found at tinyurl.com/ydbsx94n.
Loaves & Fishes food pantry
This food pantry, 234 Barnum Road, Devens, offers drive-thru access for those needing help with groceries. Hours are first Tuesday of the month, 5 to 7 p.m., and Wednesdays, Fridays, and third Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon. Upcoming dates are July 5, 7, 12, 15, 19, 21, 26, and 28 and Aug. 1, 2, and 4.
