Tip #23: Recycling construction and demolition debris
Take construction and demolition debris to Devens Recycling: www.devensrecycling.com. There is a fee. They also rent dumpsters.
The Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Leominster will accept usable building materials, including lumber, doors, windows, tiles, hardware, etc. Donations must be approved by staff but are tax-deductible.

Editor’s Note: To gain entry and dispose of trash at Harvard’s Transfer Station, residents must purchase an $80 sticker. The sticker entitles residents to dispose of recyclable glass, paper, metal, plastic, textiles, and books at no charge. But they must purchase specially marked bags for the disposal of nonrecyclable materials. Bags are available at Westward Orchards, the Harvard General Store, Harvard Outdoor Power Equipment, Bolton Orchards in Bolton, and Shop ’n Save in Ayer.
