I feel greatly distressed by the vote of the Harvard selectmen with regard to their attempt at retired teachers’ contract revision. They are breaking their trust as pledged in town-ratified documents. No amount of legal salve applied to an otherwise illegal action should allow them to feel even slightly honorable. I’m hoping the town feels likewise and will vote otherwise if given the chance.
