Mary Ann Prouty, a teacher at Hildreth Elementary School who is renowned for her joke telling as an educational tool, recently organized the Humor Heals Joke Book Drive. Mary Ann chose to donate many joke books to Emerson Hospital’s Pediatric Intervention Team as a way to give back to the hospital where she delivered her own children and which has provided health care to the Harvard community. The books will help spread smiles and laughter to the children who are treated at Emerson Hospital.
