Ice cream social
Seniors are invited to enjoy an ice cream sundae Tuesday, May 24, at 4 p.m. on the Hildreth House porch. Entertainment will be provided by Side Effects, COA Director Debbie Thompson’s band. There is no charge for Harvard residents and volunteers.
Tour of WGBH studios
The COA will tour the studios of WGBH in Brighton Wednesday, May 25. Lunch will follow at the Stockyard Restaurant. The van will leave Hildreth House at 9:30 a.m. and is expected to return by 3:30 p.m. The van fee is $5.

- DeCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, Wednesday, June 1, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. $5. Bring a picnic lunch or purchase lunch at DeCordova’s café.
- Boothbay Harbor, Maine, Friday, June 3 to Sunday, June 5. Trip includes transportation, accommodations at the Boothbay Harbor Inn, four meals including a clam bake, a harbor cruise, and a visit to Boothbay’s botanical gardens.
- Pickity Place, Wednesday, June 15. Bus leaves at 10:30 a.m. and returns around 2:30 p.m. $35 includes a five-course lunch at the Pickity Place cottage in southern New Hampshire. Payment is due by May 16.
- Lowell Spinners, Monday, June 20. $35 includes the van ride, a barbecue dinner, and a box seat at the game. Leaves Harvard at 4:45 p.m. and returns at 10 p.m. Payment is due by May 9.
Students will help
with home projects
Catholic Heart Work Camp students will be in Harvard June 20–23 to help disabled residents or seniors of low to moderate means with yard work or home projects. Call 978-456-4120 to learn about qualifying for these services. The students can paint houses, build decks or wheelchair ramps, clean garages, build shelving, and more. Certain projects will have professional oversight, and homeowners are required to obtain building permits where applicable. Requests for projects must be submitted by May 31.
