Free senior day at Fruitlands
Fruitlands Museum will offer free admission for seniors Monday, Sept. 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participants can take guided tours of the museum, including the special centennial celebration exhibition, “100 Objects, 100 Stories, 100 Years at Fruitlands Museum.” Artist-in-residence Richard Kattman will also be on hand.
Computer support
Every Tuesday and Friday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., a knowledgeable volunteer will be in the computer lab at Hildreth House to answer technical questions. Call 978-456-4120 in advance if you need specific help.
Movie on Monday
The Harvard Public Library and the Council on Aging will present “Belle” Monday, Sept. 15, at 1 p.m. in Volunteers Hall at the library. Popcorn and water will be served. The movie is inspired by the true story of the mixed-race daughter of a Royal Navy Admiral and how she became instrumental in shaping the anti-slavery policy of Britain.
On the road with the COA

- Wednesday, Oct. 8: The COA will travel to Theater III in Acton for a performance of “Little Women: The Musical.” The van will leave Hildreth House at 6:30 p.m. for the 7:30 show. The cost is $10. Note that the theater lacks wheelchair accessibility, so participants must be able to navigate stairs.
Health clinics at Hildreth House
- Monday, Sept. 15: Appointments for the Podiatry Clinic run from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Call 978-456-4120 to make an appointment. The fee is $30, payable to the physician at the time of your appointment.
- Tuesday, Sept. 16: Drop in for blood pressure check, pulse screening, and diet teaching at the monthly Wellness Clinic. This is free and open to all seniors, with no appointment required.
Hot lunch served Tuesdays, Thursdays
The Council on Aging invites all seniors for a hot lunch to be served at Hildreth House each Tuesday and Thursday. The meals are provided by Minuteman Senior Services, and the donation for lunch is $2.
