A resident came to the police station at 10 a.m. to request information about obtaining a restraining order. An officer explained the options. At 11 a.m. a Still River resident requested an officer to help with a family situation. The ambulance transported a male resident of Withington Lane to UMass Medical in Worcester at 2:00 p.m. At 6:43 p.m. a West Bare Hill Road resident reported seeing a suspicious-looking person using a metal detector in an open field. An officer confirmed that the man had permission to be there.
Wednesday, Oct. 9
The Townsend Police called shortly after midnight for help in locating and arresting a Harvard resident wanted as a suspect in an assault and battery incident earlier that evening. Harvard police spotted the male party in the center of town about an hour later. He was identified, arrested, and his car towed. He was later released to the Townsend Police. About 7:50 p.m. the ambulance transported a male party from the Bromfield School to Emerson Hospital. Police investigated a minor motor vehicle accident on Massachusetts Avenue about 11:30 p.m. that evening. A woman traveling north on Route 111 drove off the road and struck a planter. The driver said she had been adjusting her radio just before the crash. The owner of the planter was advised of the damage, and after a roadside service fixed a flat tire on her vehicle, the woman drove off. No citation was issued.
Thursday, Oct. 10
At 2:40 p.m., the ambulance was called to a Park Lane residence, but medical assistance was refused. An officer responded to a 3:55 p.m. report by a Blanchard Road resident of “animals on the loose.” Nothing was found.
Friday, Oct. 11
At 3:10 a.m. an officer responded to a burglar alarm at a residence on Pinnacle Road. The officer found an unlocked door, but everything appeared to be OK. The owner was notified. A party was transported by the ambulance from the Bromfield School to Emerson Hospital at 5:00 p.m. The Littleton Police called at 5:24 p.m. to request help in locating a party riding a dirt bike on conservation land near the Littleton-Harvard town line on Littleton Road. The police were unable to locate the offender. At 5:41 p.m. the officer on patrol removed a large tree limb from Littleton Road. An Abbott Lane resident complained of loud noises at 8:30 p.m. When an officer reached the scene, the reported noise had stopped.
Saturday, Oct. 12
Police responded at 5:55 a.m. to a burglar alarm at a residence on Pinnacle Road. The officer found an unlocked door, but everything inside seemed OK. The officer secured the residence and notified the homeowner. At 8:15 a.m., a Poor Farm Road resident complained that cars belonging to yard sale customer were parked in front of his house and along the road. The officer asked the car owners to move their vehicles off the street and onto the lawn where the sale was being conducted. About noon, the ambulance transported a Massachusetts Avenue resident to Emerson Hospital. The ambulance was called to the Bromfield School at 1:30 p.m., but on arrival, medical treatment was refused. At 5 p.m. the ambulance transported a male resident of Whitney Lane to Emerson Hospital. Around 8 p.m., a Turner Lane resident reported that an unfamiliar vehicle was parked in front of the property. The owner was located and asked to move the car. An Elm Street resident complained around 10 p.m. of load music coming from an event at the nearby Fellowship Hall. When an officer arrived, the entertainers had already lowered their volume.
Sunday, Oct. 13
At 1:18 a.m., a Boxborough officer reported that the main gate to the Harvard Sportsmen’s Club on Littleton County Road was open. A Harvard policeman responded, but everything appeared to be OK. A club official was notified. The ambulance was called to a Still River residence around 7:30 a.m., but treatment was refused. Harvard Police responded to a request for assistance from the Bolton Police at 1:00 p.m. A woman had called to say that she was lost somewhere within the Oxbow Wildlife Refuge. The woman eventually made her way back to her vehicle, which was parked at Bolton Flats. Harassing text messages were the concern of a female resident of Still River who called police around 4 p.m. An officer advised her of her options. A party living on Old Littleton Road called around midnight to report finding recently discarded beer bottles. The resident was concerned there might, as a consequence, be an erratic vehicle on the road. Police checked, but were unable to find anything.
Monday, Oct. 14
Around 2:40 p.m., an officer stopped to speak with a pedestrian walking near the intersection of Littleton County Road and Massachusetts Avenue. The individual was just passing through town.
