An Ayer Road caller reported seeing a suspicious looking vehicle parked nearby at 2:01 a.m. The car belonged to a resident and was OK. At 10:27 a.m. the ambulance transported a male party from Fruitlands Museum to Nashoba Valley Medical Center with advanced life support (ALS) on board. A UPS driver came to the station at 11:09 a.m. to drop off a cell phone found near Massachusetts Avenue and Slough Road. The phone has since been returned to the owner. Police responded at 2:07 p.m. to a burglar alarm set off at a Pinnacle Road residence. The alarm was accidental. At 3:12 p.m. a male party was transported by the ambulance from Ayer Road to Emerson Hospital with ALS on board. Two hours later, at 5:09 p.m., a male was transported from Bowers Brook on Ayer Road to UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester. At 6:59 p.m., someone reported seeing a car being driven erratically near Littleton County Road and Massachusetts Avenue. Police investigated but found nothing.
Wednesday, Oct. 16
The ambulance at 8:39 p.m. transported a female from a Still River residence to UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester.
Thursday, Oct. 17
Police investigated a faulty fire alarm system at a Lancaster County Road residence at 9:20 a.m. It was taken off line by the owner. At 3:36 p.m., police responded to another residential alarm on Eldridge Road. It had been accidentally set off by its owner.
Friday, Oct. 18
An officer reported finding a door open at the beach house on Pond Road at 1:53 a.m. After checking out the building the officer determined everything was OK and secured the door. Police theorized the wind may have blown it open. The ambulance was called to a Pinnacle Road home to assist a male party at 6:44 a.m. The party was transported to Emerson Hospital with ALS on board. At 11:03 a.m. a male party was transported from the Acton Medical offices on Ayer Road to Emerson Hospital. A relative called the ambulance at 3:22 p.m. and asked the EMTs to check on the welfare of a female resident of Abbot Lane. When the ambulance arrived, the party refused treatment. Police were called to the scene of a motorcycle accident on Tahanto Trail at 3:53 p.m. by a resident who had heard the crash. The vehicle had skidded and struck a rock barrier. The driver was transported to Nashoba Valley Medical Center by the ambulance. The motorcycle had been totaled and was towed. The accident remains under investigation and police say charges may be filed. A resident of Craggs Road phoned at 5:49 p.m. to report a burglary. The thieves had entered through an unlocked door between the hours of 4:30 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. and taken a number of personal items. The theft is under investigation. Someone called the police at 7:02 p.m. to report seeing individuals consuming alcoholic beverages in a vehicle parked near Sorrento’s Restaurant. When police arrived, the vehicle was gone.
Saturday, Oct. 19
At 12:39 a.m. the ambulance responded to a request for assistance from a caller on Armstrong Road. When the EMTs arrived, treatment was refused. Police responded to an alarm at a residence on Haskell Lane at 1:44 p.m. Everything was OK. A departing worker may have set it off. At 4:20 p.m., an officer spotted a disabled vehicle parked the wrong way near Stow Road and Codman Road. Because it was a hazard to passing cars, the officer called for a tow truck to move it. But before the truck could arrive, the owner of the vehicle returned with transmission fluid, added it, and drove off. The state police called at 5:29 p.m. to warn Harvard Police to be on the lookout for a vehicle that was being driven erratically. Shortly thereafter, a Lancaster Road resident called to report that a vehicle had hit his mailbox and left the scene. Police located the car, which was damaged, and its driver, who was a male resident of Harvard. The accident is under investigation, and police say they expect to file charges. At 1:01 a.m. a Littleton Road caller complained that several vehicles were blocking the roadway. They were asked to move.
Sunday, Oct. 20
The ambulance transported a female resident of Bowers Brook on Ayer Road to Emerson Hospital at 5:54 a.m. A male resident of Tahanto Trail was transported by the ambulance about 9:18 p.m. to an unspecified hospital with ALS on board. At 10:28 a.m. the ambulance transported a female party from the Seeds of Faith Church on Ayer Road to an unknown location. Another party was transported by the ambulance from Bowers Brook to Emerson Hospital at 7:10 p.m. Police responded at 11:19 p.m. to a request for assistance from an Ayer Road resident who was locked out of her home. An officer helped the caller gain entry.
Monday, Oct. 21
At 12:37 p.m. a Brown Road resident reported that a suspicious-looking vehicle was parked nearby. The female driver had pulled over to use her GPS device. An Ayer Road resident called at 3:33 p.m. to report that a suspicious vehicle was parked in the driveway of a neighbor’s house. The vehicle, a black 1991 Volvo sedan, was parked roughly 100 feet up the long approach to the house. Police arrested the driver, Kevin Kinsman of Dorchester, Mass., for operating a vehicle without a license. He was released later that afternoon on $540 bail. There were other individuals in the car, and the incident is still being investigated. The Bolton Police, the Harvard ambulance, and a fire truck responded at 3:54 p.m. to a report of a single-vehicle accident on Willard Road. The male driver was injured and transported to Clinton Hospital. The car was towed. No citations were issued.
