At 11:30 a.m., police responded to a report of a verbal dispute in front of the General Store on Still River Road. According to police, an officer spoke to a witness who said the disputants were driving an olive-colored sedan and a maroon sedan. Police checked the area, but did not locate either car. At 1:08 p.m., a resident of Orange, Mass., reported a possible scam initiated through the website Craigslist. According to police, the woman said she had come to Harvard to see a home to rent, but when she said she was interested in it, she was asked to send a check to an address in Thailand. Police spoke to the owner of the home, who told them the home was not for rent. The owner had nothing to do with the Craigslist advertisement, police say. The incident is under investigation.
Wednesday, May 9
At 9:02 a.m., a police sergeant spotted graffiti on a telephone poll and town sign near the Harvard/Bolton border on Still River Road. Upon further investigation, police found the graffiti, “L4L,” spray painted on several signs in the area. The Department of Public Works removed the graffiti. At 9:15 p.m., police received a report of a suspicious car parked on Still River Depot Road. The car was gone when an officer arrived, police report.
Thursday, May 10
At 1:23 a.m., the animal control officer responded to a report of an unleashed dog in front of the General Store on Still River Road. The animal control officer knew the dog’s owner and reunited him with his dog, police say. At 12:32 p.m., police investigated a report from a resident that two adults were meeting daily at the fire pond near Ann Lees Road and Babbitt Lane for “adult activities.” Police found the two people and spoke to them. They did not deny the report, police say, and agreed to go elsewhere.
Friday, May 11
At 9:32 a.m., a contractor who was installing solar panels on a roof at a Littleton County Road address fell off the roof and had to be taken to a hospital by helicopter. Police had no information on his current condition. He was conscious when he was placed on the helicopter, police say. At 2:48 p.m., the manager of a bank on Ayer Road reported someone had dumped some doors behind the bank. The manager was not able to get the complete license plate number of the vehicle used to transport the doors, police say. At 2:54 p.m., police say, a resident of Warren Avenue told police someone had called her and told her she won $2 or $3 million and a Mercedes and that, to collect her winnings, she should go to Walmart, get a $3,000 gift card, and then exchange the gift card for her winnings. The caller told the woman he would be arriving around 4 p.m., police say. Police told the woman to call them if any stranger showed up around 4 p.m., but no one did, police say. At 2:56 p.m., police investigated a report of a firearm stuck in the dirt along the side of the road on Madigan Lane. Upon investigation, police report, the weapon turned out to be a rusty old BB gun.
Saturday, May 12
At 11:17 a.m., police received a report of a suspicious motor vehicle on Ayer Road. The owner of the vehicle had driven away by the time they arrived, police say.
Sunday, May 13
At 10:38 a.m., a woman came to the police station to report a missing child. The child was with its other parent, who was late dropping it off to spend Mother’s Day with its mother, police say.
Monday, May 14
At 12:28 p.m., police responded to a report of a car parked in a fire lane in a Bromfield School parking lot. Upon further investigation, police report, the car was not in a fire lane.
