At 10:10 a.m., the fire chief responded to a request to see if a fire at a Littleton Road address was permitted. The fire checked out, the chief reported.
Wednesday, May 2
At 6:46 a.m., police received a report of a golden retriever running along Still River Road. The dog was not responding to attempts to call it, the caller reported. Police referred the call to the animal control officer. At 11:41 a.m., a man reported someone had stolen several items related to his profession from his vehicle, which was parked on Littleton Road. The items were worth several hundred dollars, police say. According to police, the doors to the vehicle had been left unlocked. Police have no suspects in the incident. At 9:55 p.m., police responded to a report of a disturbance at a Littleton County Road address. It was a verbal disagreement between two people, police say. Peace was restored. At 10:20 p.m., someone reported hearing yelling in the area of Wilroy Avenue. Police say whoever was yelling had gone back into his or her house by the time they arrived.
Thursday, May 3
At 3:41 a.m., a resident of Under Pin Hill Road came to the police station to report seeing a light turn on and turn off again outside his home. Police say there was a brief power outage in the area that night and it caused a garage light near the resident’s home to go off and on. At 4:33 a.m., Harvard Police helped Bolton Police with traffic control at the scene of a fatal car accident in that town.
Friday, May 4
At 2:03 a.m., police received a report that signs for routes 111 and 495 were damaged at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Stow Road. The signs had been damaged in car accident on April 14, police say. At 9:47 a.m., police responded to a report of trash dumping in someone’s yard on Stow Road. The garbage included four or five full garbage bags and a Rubbermaid trash can, police say. Police called the Department of Public Works to remove it.
Saturday, May 5
At 7:01 a.m., police pulled over a driver for failing to stop at a stop sign coming off the ramp from Route 2 to Ayer Road. Police issued the driver a summons for driving with a suspended license and had the car towed away. At 12:58 a.m., police received a report someone was stealing gravel from the Department of Public Works site on Depot Road. After speaking to the man, police determined he had permission to take the gravel. At 11:02 a.m., police investigated a vehicle that was parked at the overlook on Prospect Hill Road with its lights on and its trunk open. After performing a field sobriety test on the driver, who passed, police sent the car and its two occupants on their way.
Sunday, May 6
At 1:55 p.m., a woman who was visiting Fruitlands Museum on Prospect Hill Road told police her 8-year old son, who has autism, had run off into the woods. The boy was found shortly after by a resident of a nearby home. The boy had not been injured and appeared to be in good spirits, police say. At 6:05 p.m., police were called to a dispute between two people on Highland Avenue, but report it was a civil matter.
Monday, May 7
At 6:27 p.m., police responded to a report of people riding motor scooters blocking Stow Road. The caller told police a scooter rider had swerved into the lane of oncoming traffic. An officer spoke to the scooter rider, who said he had swerved to avoid a pothole. At 6:45 p.m., police investigated a report of some people violating the open container law at the overlook on Prospect Hill Road. The people were drinking sparkling cider, not alcohol, police report.
