At 12:18 p.m., police responded to a report of a loose horse on Ayer Road. Police were able to locate the horse’s owner, who brought it back to where it belonged. At 2:27 p.m., someone reported finding a chain saw near the road on Sherry Road. Police say they were unable to determine if the chain saw had been stolen. The chain saw is currently at the police station. At 3:10 p.m., a woman reported her bicycle had been stolen from the center of town.
Wednesday, April 25
At 11:48 a.m., a woman reported an erratic driver on Bolton Road. The driver had tailgated her and then passed her, the woman said. The woman couldn’t identify the driver, police say, so they couldn’t speak to him or her. At 6:18 p.m., police investigated a motor vehicle accident on Brown Road. According to police, a car had gone 300 feet off the road and hit another car parked in a driveway. The driver claimed his power steering had malfunctioned, police say. However, police issued the driver a citation for speeding and marked lanes violation. No one was injured in the incident.

Friday, April 27
At 1:19 a.m., police investigated a car parked off Pond Road. A crew team coach was sleeping in the car waiting for an early-morning practice to start, police say. At 8:15 a.m., a Harvard resident reported to police that someone had called her son from Texas and made a threat. Police contacted the police department in the town in Texas where the call originated. The issue was a family matter, police say. At 11:20 a.m., a real estate agent reported to police that a glass sliding door into a home on Sherry Road had been broken. Police say it appeared someone had broken in and gone through the house. A laptop computer may have been stolen, police say. The case is under investigation. At 4:16 p.m., police responded to a request to be present at an Ayer Road address while an employee received his final check from his supervisor.
Saturday, April 28
At 2:20 a.m., police made a motor vehicle stop on Ayer Road. After performing a field sobriety test on the driver, police arrested the driver, Danielle A. Woods-Beasley, 20, of 910 Hyde Park Ave., Hyde Park, for operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs, operating a vehicle to endanger, operating without a license, and stop sign violation. The arresting officer detected the smell of marijuana, police say. Also at the scene, police arrested passenger Damian A. Cox-Busch, 21, of 44 Bernard CR St., Brockton, on one count of violating a protective order. Another passenger in the car had a restraining order against Cox-Busch, police say. At 8:11 p.m., a resident of Hynes Lane reported a suspicious vehicle parked on the private way. The car belonged to an attendee of a party at a house nearby, police say. At 11:49 p.m., police investigated a disabled motor vehicle that was off Ayer Road on private property. Police say they are still investigating whether the driver had trespassed onto the property to go off-roading.
Sunday, April 29
At 3:17 a.m., Harvard Police notified the State Police of a report of an erratic driver headed off Ayer Road onto Route 2. At 7:16 p.m., police received a report of a man walking on Stow Road near the gravel pit. Police say they could not locate the man.
Monday, April 30
At 3:30 p.m., police received a report that a man was lying down in the back of a delivery truck on Slough Road near the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue. According to the report the police received, the man appeared to be disoriented. Police spoke to the man and report his truck had broken down and he was relaxing in the back while waiting for a repair truck. At 4:46 p.m., police investigated a report of vandalism on Prospect Hill Road. Someone had written vulgarities on a sign there, police say. Police called the Department of Public Works to clean or remove the sign.
