At 4 a.m., Littleton Police told Harvard Police that the State Police had reported someone called 911 and said someone had pulled a gun on him on Littleton Road. However, according to the State Police, the call had been lost and they were unable to trace the cellphone’s location. Harvard Police checked Littleton Road and Old Littleton Road, but report finding nothing out of the ordinary. There are Littleton roads in several area towns and the call might have come from one of those, police say. At 4:21 a.m., police responded to a complaint of horses making too much noise at an Ayer Road address. Police say the noise was not excessive when they arrived on the scene and they left a message for their owner. At 2:01 p.m., a resident of East Bare Hill Road reported a white van with tinted windows driving down the road and slowing down in front of homes for sale. Police checked the area but report they could not locate a van matching that description. At 6:18 p.m., police received a report of a man under the influence of alcohol driving from Groton to Harvard to pick up a child at school. Harvard Police notified Ayer Police to be on the lookout for the man. Harvard Police did not find anyone matching his description on local roads.
Wednesday, May 16
At 10:01 p.m., police investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle parked at a Lancaster County Road address. There was no one around the vehicle, police say.
Thursday, May 17
At 12:19 a.m., police investigated a report of a woman walking on Ayer Road from the eastbound lane of Route 2. An officer gave the woman a ride to a Harvard address. The woman was walking alone on Route 2 because of a domestic dispute, police say. At 8:13 a.m., police investigated a driving complaint on Stow Road. An officer will be contacting the owner of the vehicle about which the complaint was made, police say. At 12:27 p.m., police checked out a home on Old Littleton Road after a neighbor reported the door was open and the owner was on vacation. There was no sign of a break-in, police say.
Friday, May 18
At 7:12 a.m., police received a report of people camping in a tent on conservation land near Finn Road. Stow Police handled the call, police say. At 8:23 a.m., someone came to the police station to ask for advice about a warrant issued for him from California. Police advised the man to contact the court that had issued the warrant. At 6:22 p.m., Harvard Police helped Ayer Police respond to a motor vehicle accident in that town.
Saturday, May 19
At 7:14 p.m., police set up a barrel that had fallen and was blocking one of the ramps onto Ayer Road from Route 2.
Sunday, May 20
At 1:46 a.m., police arrested Michael C. Sacchetti, 24, of Pittsfield, Mass., for operating under the influence of alcohol. An officer came upon Sacchetti parked along Ayer Road and performed a field sobriety test, which Sacchetti failed, police say. Sacchetti’s car was towed and he was released on bail later that morning, according to police. At 3:14 a.m., police removed some barrels that had been placed in the road at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Still River Road. Police categorized the incident as vandalism. At 6:41 a.m., a resident of Slough Road reported a loud noise that didn’t sound like a lawn mower or something similar. He called back later and said the noise had stopped, police say.
Monday, May 21
At 6:26 p.m., someone from the Worcester County District Attorney’s child abuse office called police to speak about an incident reported in Harvard. Police reports reveal no further information on the call.
