At 8:42 a.m., police returned to someone property they had been holding onto for safekeeping. At 4:23 p.m., a resident of Depot Road called police to say her daughter had just returned home and reported hearing someone nearby shouting for help. The sound may have been coming from the field near the intersection of Depot Road and Craggs Road, the woman told police. Police searched the area and reported someone in the area was yelling to his dog to come back.
Wednesday, March 14
At 3:38 p.m., police responded to a minor motor vehicle accident in the parking lot of the Bromfield School. There were no injuries and only minor damage, police say. At 8:48 p.m., Harvard Police responded with the Boxborough Police to a report of an altercation between two people at a home on Swanson Road.
Thursday, March 15
At 9:37 a.m., a Harvard Police detective attended a regional detectives’ meeting in Concord. At 11:30 a.m., a FedEx driver reported packages were piling up at a home in Harvard. Police say they spoke to a neighbor who said the homeowners might have another house in a different state. The neighbor agreed to email the homeowners to let them know about the packages. At 2:44 p.m., police investigated a suspicious motor vehicle parked at a business on Ayer Road. Nothing more was reported on the incident.
Friday, March 16
At 1:38 a.m., a police officer spotted an open window at a business on Ayer Road. Police say they checked and cleared the business and notified the business owner about the open window. At 1:11 p.m., police checked a suspicious car parked at the cell tower on Brown Road. According to police, there have been a rash of incidents in the area (though not in Harvard) lately of people stealing copper grounding plates from cell towers. The vehicle belonged to a Verizon worker who was working there, police say. At 8:38 p.m., a woman called police to report the driver in the car behind her on Ayer Road was driving erratically, flashing his lights, and then passed her in a no-passing zone, even though she was going the speed limit. Police searched the area, but did not locate a car matching the description.
Saturday, March 17
At 2:11 a.m., a police officer investigated what looked like a fire inside a home that is under construction on Old Mill Road. The fire was contained to the home’s gas fireplace, police say. Police checked with the homeowner and the fire department and report the fire could be allowed to continue burning unattended. At 9:53 a.m., a resident of Woodside Road reported to police that it looked as if someone had broken a window to break into her home. Police say the window was broken by a bird and was too high for a person to reach. At 7:40 p.m., police received a report that someone was driving a four-wheeler in the middle of the road on Still River Road, wasn’t wearing a helmet, and was going too fast. Police searched the area but report they did not locate the four wheeler or its driver.

Monday, March 19
At 12:05 p.m., a caller reported someone was sitting in a car in the parking lot of the post office on Ayer Road with one leg out the door and leaning on the steering wheel. Police say they spoke to the man in the car and he told them he was just taking a break.
