At 8:56 a.m., police checked out the foundation of a house that had burned down on Old Mill Road. The foundation had filled with rainwater and represented a safety concern. Police contacted the town’s building inspector, who pumped the water out of the foundation. At 2:25 p.m., an officer spoke to a caller who was concerned about trash dumping near the intersection of Littleton County Road and Trail Ridge Way. No other information is available on that incident.

Thursday, October 6
At 2:20 p.m., police made a motor vehicle stop on Stow Road and issued the driver a summons for unlicensed driving. The vehicle was towed away. At 9:25 p.m., a resident of Blanchard Road told police a “pumping-like noise” was making it difficult to sleep. An officer checked the area, but found nothing. Police speculate the noise may having come from a train passing on the tracks nearby.
Friday, October 7
At 6:29 p.m., a caller reported foul words written on the road near the intersection of Shaker Road and Glenview Drive. According to police, an officer went to speak with the caller but no one was around.

Sunday, October . 9
At 9:26 a.m., a man who was mowing conservation land on Murray Lane called police to report someone had loosened the oil drain plug on his tractor. According to police, the man said he was operating the tractor when it started smoking. Upon further inspection, the man said, he found that the oil drain plug had come off from his tractor and all the oil had leaked out. The man believed the plug could not have come loose on its own, police report. A detective interviewed residents in the area, but no one knew anything about the incident, police say. The extent of engine damage to the tractor is currently unknown, police say. At 1:44 p.m., a caller asked police for help removing a car that had been submerged in water off Pond Road. A dispatcher referred the call to a towing company. At 2:57 p.m., police responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a home on Jacob Gates Road. It was a verbal dispute and no arrests were made, police say. Boxborough Police also responded to the incident and peace was restored, police say.
Monday, October 10
At 3:09 p.m., a resident of Simon Atherton Row reported several items missing from his shed. Police asked the man to make a list of the serial numbers of the missing items. At 5:05 p.m., an officer spoke to a group of people who were over the wall at the Prospect Hill overlook. The officer asked the group to move on, which they did. At 10:21 p.m., a resident of Bolton Road reported someone driving down the road in a grey BMW, throwing pumpkins out the window. Police checked the area, but found nothing. Bolton Police stopped a car that matched the description, but determined it was not the right vehicle.
