The ambulance took one woman to Emerson Hospital from a Deerfoot Trail residence at 10:23 a.m. While the Harvard ambulance was occupied with that call, the Boxborough ambulance transported a woman to Emerson Hospital from a Woodside Road address at 11:26 a.m. A caller reported seeing a suspicious-looking vehicle parked at a home on Old Littleton Road at 1:21 p.m. Police found it belonged to a home health-care worker visiting a client at the residence. At 1:56 p.m. a caller reported that someone had defaced a “horse crossing” sign with vulgar graffiti on Poor Farm Road. Police notified the Department of Public Works to take care of the sign. A Fire Department tanker was requested to assist at a fire in Bolton at 2:55 p.m.
Wednesday, March 9
At 1:43 a.m. a White Lane resident asked police to check her house after she heard a loud noise somewhere inside. Police checked the home and found that everything seemed to be OK. At 12:08 p.m. Harvard police were asked to respond to a burglar alarm in Bolton while Bolton police were otherwise occupied. The alarm had been accidentally set off by the homeowner. At 1:55 p.m. firefighters rescued a dog that fell through the ice on Turner Lane. The animal, which had no identification tags, was taken to Shepherd Veterinary Clinic in Boxborough.
Thursday, March 10
Firefighters responded to the scene of a car fire at West Bare Hill and Woodside roads at 4:42 p.m. There were no injuries; the car was towed. A car struck a deer on Littleton Road at 6:12 p.m. There was minor damage to the car; damage to the deer is unknown. The ambulance transported a woman to Nashoba Valley Medical Center from a St. John Lane home at 6:24 p.m.
Friday, March 11
At 3:08 a.m. Harvard police were asked to assist with an unruly prisoner in Ayer. The ambulance took one person to Nashoba Valley Medical center from an Ayer Road address at 3:11 p.m. At 5:08 p.m. Boxborough police requested the assistance of Harvard police with a traffic stop near the Harvard-Boxborough town line.
Saturday, March 12
The ambulance took a woman to Emerson Hospital from an Oak Hill Road residence at 11:45 a.m.
Sunday, March 13
A caller reported that someone who appeared to be homeless was riding a bicycle in the center of town. Police located the person, whom the caller described as being dressed in ragged clothes, but found the person was not homeless and was just riding his bike to Ayer. A Glenview Drive resident reported at 10:50 a.m. that someone had spray-painted “hi” on his mailbox.
Monday, March 14
At 1:32 a.m. an officer on patrol noticed an open garage door at a business on Littleton Road. The owner was notified and the building was checked; all appeared to be OK. At 11:06 a.m. a caller reported that a bicycle and dump truck had collided near Eldridge and Stow roads. Police checked the area, but found nothing.
