An Old Schoolhouse Road resident called at 2:17 p.m. to report an Internet scam. The issue was referred to a detective. At 4:32 p.m. An Oak Hill Road resident called to complain about skateboarders in the area using foul language. An officer responded to the scene and spoke to the youths about their language. An officer on patrol at 5:19 near Poor Farm Road and the Route 2 bridge noticed a man and woman engaged in an angry conversation. The officer spoke to the pair and advised the woman of her right to a restraining order, which she declined to pursue. At 7:08 p.m. a Lancaster County Road resident stopped to speak with an officer about some mail she received.
Wednesday, March 16
The ambulance transported a woman to Nashoba Valley Medical Center from an Ayer Road address at 11:51 a.m. Covering for the Harvard ambulance, the Boxborough ambulance took a woman to Emerson Hospital from a Sherry Road residence at 12:01 p.m. At 5:16 p.m. a Bolton Road resident called to report that two men had come to her door selling meat. An officer arrived in time to see the men headed toward Bolton and alerted the Bolton police. A resident who found some street signs dropped them off at the Department of Public Works at 7:05 p.m.
Thursday, March 17
At 1:07 a.m. a Warren Ave. resident called to report a car parked in front of the house. Police found it was occupied by four teens. They arrested Stow Road resident Joshua Wright, 19, for possession of liquor by a person under age 21 and operating with an open container of alcohol in the vehicle. Wright was released on bail at 3:31 a.m. At 7:09 a.m. police responded to the scene of a single-car accident on Woodchuck Hill Road that occurred because of ice on the road. The car was towed; there were no injuries. At 8:08 a.m. ice on Littleton Road caused a car to leave the road. The Fire Department responded to clean up gasoline spilled in the roadway. The car was towed; there were no injuries. The ambulance took a woman to Emerson Hospital from a Slough Road residence at 5:12 p.m. A West Bare Hill Road resident called at 5:24 p.m. to report receiving a letter in the mail that appeared to be part of a scam, asking for money.
Friday, March 18
The ambulance transported a woman to Nashoba Valley Medical Center from Old Littleton Road at 7:10 a.m. At 1:50 p.m. a caller reported that she had hit a mailbox with her car and would be making arrangements with the owner to have it fixed. At 3:19 p.m. a caller reported that kids were skateboarding in the road near Still Rover and Under Pin Hill roads. The skateboarders were gone when police arrived. At 4:09 p.m. a caller reported that kids were throwing things in the roadway near East Bare Hill and Partridge Hill roads. Police did not locate the kids and found nothing in the road. At 9:37 p.m. an officer on patrol noticed a car parked behind some buildings on Ayer Road, and upon investigation found two juveniles in the vehicle. Police called the parent of the passenger to pick him up, since the operator’s license prohibited him from transporting passengers at that time of night.
Saturday, March 19
At 7:30 p.m. a juvenile reported receiving a threatening e-mail from a friend. The detective determined that there was no threat, just pranks between friends. At 9:32 p.m. police arranged for a tow truck to winch out a car that had gone off the road near Lancaster County and Blanchard roads.
Sunday, March 20
Harvard police were asked to assist Boxborough officers with unruly guests at the Holiday Inn at 4:09 a.m. An officer on patrol at 6:24 p.m. noticed someone burning leaves on Still River Road, and notified the Fire Department. The fire was out by the time the fire officer arrived to investigate. Firefighters were called to a Still River Road residence at 6:49 p.m. to extinguish a car fire.
Monday, March 21
A caller reported at 6:12 a.m. that traffic cones were blocking the lower parking lot at Bromfield. Police called the school officials, who said that the school had not blocked the lot for any reason. At 8:44 a.m. someone reported that vulgar graffiti had been painted on a wall behind the elementary school. The ambulance took a woman to Nashoba Valley Medical Center from an East Bare Hill Road residence at 11:39 p.m.
