Tsongas to host program at General Store
Congresswoman Niki Tsongas will host her Congress on Your Corner program in Harvard this Saturday, Oct. 24, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Harvard General Store. The program is part of the Tsongas’ constituent outreach service and offers the opportunity for Fifth District residents to share their thoughts with Tsongas regarding legislation in Congress and happenings in their community, as well as to seek assistance with any problem they may be having with a federal agency.
LWV hosts affordable housing forum
The League of Women Voters of Harvard and the Harvard Press will sponsor a housing forum Thursday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m. in Volunteers Hall to make residents aware of Harvard’s Affordable Housing Plan and to solicit feedback on the topic of affordable housing for the Planning Board to consider as they work on the 2010 update to the plan. Planning Board Chairman Joe Sudol will be on the panel.
Rehearsals to start for Christmas pageant
Children in grades 2 and higher are invited to sing in the annual Harvard Ecumenical Christmas Pageant, which will be held Sunday, Dec. 13, at 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. at the Unitarian Church.
Choir rehearsals begin Sunday, Nov. 8, 1:15 to 2:15 p.m. at the Unitarian Church and will be held every Sunday until the pageant. There is also rehearsal on Saturday morning, Dec. 5 and 12. Children can sign up at one of the churches in town or can contact Janice Kennedy at kennedyshome@charter.net.
