Tuesday, March 3: At 7:41 p.m. a Harvard man reported that his wife hadn’t met him in Groton as planned. Harvard police asked Groton police to be on the lookout for the woman. Groton police located her and reported that she was slightly disoriented, but was able to drive herself home.
Wednesday, March 4: At 2:59 p.m. someone reported youngsters throwing snowballs at cars on Prospect Hill Road near Madigan Lane; a police officer did not find the youths.
Thursday, March 5: At 3:59 p.m. a caller reported that a book cart was missing from the Hapgood Room at the old library. Police found that the cart had been moved to another room in the building. At 4:25 p.m. an officer confirmed that a burglar alarm that was triggered at a Candleberry Road residence was faulty. The ambulance took a woman from a Still River Road residence to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester at 7:50 p.m.
Friday, March 6: At about 9 a.m. at the Ayer Road–Route 2 off-ramp a Leominster woman smashed her car into the back of a car driven by a Northborough man. There were no injuries; police issued the woman a written warning for following too closely. At 11:06 p.m. the ambulance took a man from a Shaker Road address to Nashoba Valley Medical Center..
Saturday, March 7: At 2:57 p.m. someone stopped at the station to turn in a set of Volvo keys found on Still River Road. The keys, which have an attached keyless entry device, can be claimed at the police station. A firefighter responded to an alarm at a Lancaster County Road business at 3:01 p.m., but found no evidence of smoke or fire. At 4:49 p.m. the ambulance took a man from a Stow Road address to Nashoba Valley Medical Center. A woman called the station at 9:47 p.m. to report that her son had left the house without permission. An officer spoke to the woman and helped restore the peace. A Harvard officer assisted Boxborough police with an arrest at a house party in Boxborough at 11:48 p.m..
Sunday, March 8: At 1:31 p.m. an officer on patrol investigated a car parked on Ayer Road and found it was occupied by a man who had pulled over to use his cell phone. A caller on Stow Road reported a missing mailbox at 12:13 p.m. Another mailbox was reported missing on Westcott Road at 1:56 p.m.
Monday, March 9: Harvard police received a report from Bolton police at 8:58 a.m. that there might be a car off the road near the town line on Still River Road. An officer checked the area but found nothing. At 10:42 a.m. the ambulance took a patient from a doctor’s office on Lancaster County Road to Nashoba Valley Medical Center. A vehicle pulling a horse trailer was reported stuck at Armstrong and East Bare Hill roads, but the driver was able to get unstuck without assistance.
